The Music Box Theatre gives back.

Annually the Music Box Theatre gives over $6,000.00 in ticket donations for auctions to benefit local non profits, schools, and organizations. Many special events held at the Music Box Theatre are held by non profit organizations.

The Music Box Massacre (our annual 24 hour Horror film marathon) and the Sci Fi Spectacular (14 Hours of Sci-Fi films) are both co-presented by the Movieside Movie Festival and benefit Vital Bridges. The Mission of Vital Bridges is to help people throughout metropolitan Chicago impacted by HIV and AIDS to improve their health and build self-sufficiency by providing food, nutrition, housing, case management and prevention services.

In December of 2010 attendees of the “27th Annual Music Box Christmas Show” donated nearly $2,500 to charity, and the Music Box Theatre matched those donations to give $1,000 to the Red Door Animal Shelter, The Center on Halsted, The Trevor Project, Gilda’s Club of Chicago, and Franklin Fine Arts Center.
