Attention filmmakers! We want YOU to help us make a trailer for the 48 Hour Film Project!

On August 14th-15th, the 48 Hour Film Project comes to the Music Box, and we want YOU to help get the word out! We’re holding a contest to see who can create the most innovative, most exciting, most engaging trailer for the event. Read below for all the details, including excellent prizes!

EASY STEPS TO COMPETE

Step 1. Create a Trailer
Unleash your creative maven and make a video trailer of 60 seconds or less to help get the word out about the 2013 Chicago 48 Hour Film Project. Entries may be animated, filmed, slideshows, or any medium that can be uploaded to YouTube. Your trailer does not need to be informative, mostly just attention grabbing. It should reflect the theme: “Go Fast, Go Wild!” and needs to have the following end slate: “2013 Chicago 48 Hour Film Project, August 9-10” and the Music Box Theater Logo.

Step 2. Upload!
Once you’ve wrapped on your trailer, upload your trailer to YouTube.com and make it public with the following title and description:

Video Title:
2013 Chicago 48HFP: Trailer Contest by [Your Name(s)or Team Name]

Video Description to Include in YouTube upload:
The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and your team have a blast making a movie. All writing, shooting, editing and scoring must be completed in just 48 hours.

On Friday night, you are assigned a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, that must be included in your movie. 48 hours later, you must submit your film. Next? Your masterpiece will show on the big screen of the historic Music Box Theatre!

Tag and/or Link your trailer entry to the Music Box Theatre Facebook Page here:Facebook.com/musicboxchicago
