On An Epic Scale

Wednesday 25 December 2013 – Thursday 2 January 2014

Say goodbye to 2013 with an epic week at the Music Box!

This has been a big year for the Music Box Theatre, from a two-week 70mm festival to a renovation of Theatre 2, to the record-breaking attendance of our annual sing-a-longs! We want to end the year with a bang, so we’re bringing nine of our favorite epic films to the screen over as many days. Catch a new restoration of The Great Escape, a beautiful 35mm print of Doctor Zhivago, or a double-feature of The Godfather Parts 1 & 2. Travel internationally with a 35mm print of Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai and Luchino Visconti’s The Leopard. Or shoot it out with new restorations of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly and The Bridge on the River Kwai, plus the original version of Apocalypse Now!
