Opening exclusively in Chicago at the Music Box on April 12, Carruth’s new film, Upstream Color, is a gorgeous piece of filmmaking about two broken souls who share a unique bond.

On the opening night of the film’s regular run at the Music Box Theatre please join critic Scott Tobias of the AV Club and the Music Box Theatre for a very special double feature of Carruth’s work. First the audience will be treated to Upstream Color. Next up will be Carruth’s 2004 breakthrough Primer, a $7,000 feature (shot on 16mm, no less) that’s earned a cult following for its sophisticated twist on the complications of time travel. Carruth will introduce the films and do a Q&A between Upstream Color and Primer.

Upstream Color will continue through April 19th, for more information on the regular run of the film, please CLICK HERE

Tickets are for the double feature of Upstream Color and Primer with director Shane Carruth.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 day of.

Tickets for just Primer will only be available the night of the screening after Upstream Color has finished.
