A Streetcar Named Desire

A film by Elia Kazan

After directing the play on Broadway, Elia Kazan chose the entire film cast from previous productions of Tennessee’s most famous work. Vivien Leigh stars as fragile Blanche DuBois, who moves to New Orleans to live with her sister and brutish, tormenting brother-in-law (Marlon Brando in a tailor-made role).
