Gilda

Gilda

A film by Charles Vidor
Starring Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, George Macready

Featuring Rita Hayworth in her best-known performance, Gilda is an ambiguous cross between a hardcore noir adventure of the 1940s and the cycle of “women’s pictures.” A crooked gambler, a casino owner, and his unfaithful wife are caught up in a steamy — and deadly — love triangle.

After what appears to be a late-night male pick-up, a wealthy club owner (George Macready) offers the down-and-out gambler Glenn Ford a job in his Buenos Aires club. What George Macready doesn’t know is that his new little friend seems to have a past with his gorgeous new wife Gilda… New film print!
