A documentary on the relationship between fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent and his lover, Pierre Berge.
Yves Saint Laurent, together with his longtime partner Pierre Bergé, had a career that changed fashion forever—and along the way, assembled an art collection with Picassos, Matisses and Brancusis to rival any museum. Upon Saint Laurent’s death, Bergé decided to sell the art they had amassed; the multi-million “Auction of the Century” heralded the end of an era. An intimate record of these two men, their collection and its dissolution, L’AMOUR FOU pays tribute to an empire of beauty and wealth.
