Rope

A film by Alfred Hitchcock
Starring John Dall, Farley Granger, James Stewart

Two young men (John Dall and Farley Granger) murder their “inferior” classmate, hide his body in their apartment, and invite his friends and family (including James Stewart!) to a dinner party as a means to challenge the “perfection” of their crime. Based on the real-life crime carried out by University of Chicago students Leopold and Loeb. The film is Hitchcock’s first Technicolor film, taking place in real time, edited to appear as a single take.
