On Thursday, January 28, the Sundance Film Festival will expand to eight cities across the country for one special night of film and dialogue. Chicago is one of the lucky cities to have been given the exciting opportunity to screen a film that is having its world premiere that very same week at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT.
We are pleased to announce that the film chosen to screen at the Music Box is “Jack Goes Boating” directed by and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman. In “Jack Goes Boating” a limo drivers blind date sparks a tale of love, betrayal, friendship, and grace centered around two working-class New York City couples.
This will be the quintessential Sundance Film Festival experience in Chicago: the directorial debut of a film playing in the Premiere Category at the Festival simultaneously taking place in Park City, Utah. The writer, director and star of the film, Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, will be on hand for the Q&A afterwards.
