An unusual ghost story set on the Peruvian seaside; a married fisherman struggles to reconcile his devotion to his male lover within his town’s rigid traditions.

Fisherman Miguel is an upstanding citizen in his small coastal burg, happily married to Mariela. Both eagerly await the birth of their first child. But Miguel also has a hidden life — he’s having an affair with Santiago, a local painter. When Santiago accidentally drowns, his spirit can’t rest until the body is found. Meanwhile he appears as a ghost only Miguel can see. This is ideal for Miguel, who can enjoy his lover’s company in public or even in his wife’s presence. However, discovery of some nude portraits in the artist’s house creates a gossip firestorm in the conservative village.
