It’s a great opportunity for us to get together and exchange ideas on how best to serve our communities.

Everyone was buzzing about the Festival’s new initiative, Sundance Film Festival USA. I was pleased to announce that our screening of JACK GOES BOATING on January 28, featuring Philip Seymour Hoffman in person, has SOLD OUT!

We have confirmation! Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman will be at the Chicago premiere of his film JACK GOES BOATING on January 28 as part of SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL USA.

This will be the quintessential Sundance Film Festival experience in Chicago and tickets are going fast.

We are pleased to announce that director Gaylen Ross will join us this weekend to discuss her film KILLING KASZTNER with audience members.

And have you seen the great trailer of Terry Gilliam’s new film starring Heath Ledger? The film starts today and you’ll want to see it on the big screen!

Chris Smith will be here on Friday to present his latest, “Collapse,” a film as riveting as his “American Movie” was hilarious. To quote Roger Ebert’s recent Tweet, “Above all else, see ‘Collapse.’ Above all else.”

Then on Friday and Saturday at midnight, maverick indie fimmaker Lloyd Kaufman, founder of Troma Entertainment, will present his film “Poultrygeist,” cinema’s first chicken-zombie horror-comedy musical.

And be sure to check out the dazzling new print of one of Martin Scorsese’s favorite films, “The Red Shoes.” It will be an experience you won’t soon forget.
