Hey Music Boxers,
We have a bunch of special events coming up that we’re excited about, and we wanted to let you know about them! There’s quite a variety, so take a look and see if anything interests you.
This Saturday at midnight, it’s Sing-A-Long Xanadu. Belt out the music of Electric Light Orchestra with Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. Sing-Along Xanadu promises a tacky, hilarious extravaganza filled with roller skating, neon, spandex, and lots and lots of glitter. Hosted by Dick O’Day and the Camp Midnight Players! Tickets on sale now.
On Saturday, November 10th at midnight, it’s the madcap comedy Clue. Tim Curry’s other cult classic returns to the Music Box for the first time in five years with a live shadowcast, courtesy of Midnight Madness (the same people who bring you the excellent Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast). Tickets on sale now.
More midnight fun happens on November 16th and 17th with R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet Sing-A-Long. Subtitles on screen to make it easy to sing-along (or just keep up with the story if you’ve never seen this majesty before), and props like rubbers, spatulas and more to help make the magic moments on screen come alive in the theater. Tickets on sale now.
Then, November 23rd-25th, the weekend after Thanksgiving, it’s time for Sing-A-Long Sound of Music. This Music Box tradition is presented complete with prop bags, a pre-show costume contest, and of course, the beloved film starring Julie Andrews. Tickets on sale now.
And finally, tickets are on sale for the 29th Annual Music Box Christmas Show, featuring screenings of It’s A Wonderful Life and White Christmas, as well as carolers, We have more shows than ever before, so join us and the thousands of others who have made us part of their holiday celebration.
See you at the movies!
