Films of the Future is a weekly podcast recorded in Chicago, Illinois. It’s recorded in the present but you’re probably listening to it in the future so by then it will be the past. Even then, the movie may not have been released yet so there’s definitely some weird time stuff going on.

Films of the Future is hosted by Kendall Bruns and Alan Metoskie.

2015 Chicago International Film Festival

As the longest running international competitive film festival in North America, we proudly celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2014. Now in our 51st year, we continue to celebrate our past, present and future.

Film is a transformative medium, giving expression to different ways of thinking while confirming our shared stories and common humanity. Presenting more than 150 narrative feature, documentary and short films from over 50 countries, the 51st Chicago International Film Festival – held October 15-29, 2015 – will bring the world to Chicago.

South Shore Opera Company

The South Shore Opera Company, founded in 2008, is one of Chicago’s best local opera companies unrivaled in its artistic performances. The company formed in partnership with founder Dr. Marvin Lynn and the Advisory Council of the South Shore Cultural Center as an arts anchor partner with the Center and the Chicago Park District. Thanks to that partnership, the company is now Arts Partner in Residence the South Shore Cultural Center, one of Chicago’s landmarks. In its infancy of five years, the company has achieved unequaled success in attendance, with over 1000 at our inaugural concert in 2009, and averaging more than 500 since that time.
