Strangers on a Train

Strangers on a Train

A FILM BY: Alfred Hitchcock
WRITTEN BY: Raymond Chandler (screen play), Czenzi Ormonde (screen play)
STARRING: Farley Granger, Robert Walker, Ruth Roman

Picked by Cody, Front of House

Cody says: Hitchcock! Trains! Tennis! A way-too-fast carousel! While it may not be as widely-seen as some of Hitchcock’s better known movies, STRANGERS ON A TRAIN is probably my personal favorite of his. Featuring a creepy but somehow-charming villain performance by Robert Walker, this tale of mistaken intention shows what happens when a bad joke is told to the wrong person. Come for the stunning cinematography, stay for the subtly homoerotic plot.
