The 6th edition of the Cinema Femme Short Film Fest runs from April 25 – May 2, 2024. This one-of-a-kind festival emphasizes the importance of supporting emerging women and non-binary filmmakers by connecting them to seasoned industry members through the Breaking Down Walls mentorship program and retreat. Twenty short films have been selected to screen across three programs, along with the Chicago premiere of the prize-winning documentary SMOKE SAUNA SISTERHOOD. Four filmmakers will then be awarded a three-month mentorship with a seasoned filmmaker. This will be the festival’s second year screening at the Music Box Theatre. Along with the screenings this year, we will have in-person events with filmmaker Q&As and panels. There will also be virtual events featured on our YouTube channel.

Individual Screening Tickets - $18
