Presented by SUPER-HORROR-RAMA!
October 10 & 11, SUPER-HORROR-RAMA! shreds your eyes on back-to-back nights with a pair of lycan legends co-presented by Nicholas Aaron Hodge and K. M. Lightfoot, editors of The Werewolf Lives!, an upcoming independent horror comic anthology! One of the book's contributors is SUPER-HORROR-RAMA!'s own John McDevitt, who will introduce these deep cut werewolf movies that reimagine children's stories for adult audiences and show werewolves who protect the innocent...and tear everyone else apart!
Deadtime Stories (1986) borrows a few pages from Creepshow (1982) as a horror anthology that brings creepy reading materials to life, except this time it's a book of fractured fairy tales! In the frame story, an uncle babysits his nephew, and the boy nags for bedtime stories. One is an original fable about a pair of witches who regenerate their sister when the moon is full, and the others are modern day retellings of "Little Red Riding Hood," with a werewolf who scrambles for tranquilizers during a full moon, and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," with a bunch of lunatics who collide at an abandoned house. With a wicked sense of humor and numerous original pop songs, Deadtime Stories fully commits to every ridiculous bit with endearing low-budget production values, goofy freeze-frames, and inventive gore!
We're also screening Wolf Guy (1975) on Saturday, October 11 at 11:45pm!
Every ticket includes a Limited Edition Pinback Button (new design each night), and every show kicks off with Giveaways donated by The Shadowboxery, Cryptid Craft Studio, Night Natalie, Drive-In Asylum, and Full Bleed Zine for the first folks who answer our trivia questions. The category is werewolf movies, so get ready!
