TWIN PEAKS: Moving Through Time is a five-day journey through the complete original run of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s groundbreaking series, ending with a unique presentation of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me on 35mm, followed directly by an encore screening of the Twin Peaks pilot episode and concluding with The Missing Pieces.
Not a marathon but a voyage through time. Between episodes, Knox’s newly assembled “commercial break” segments bring together deleted scenes, outtakes, original network promos, cast and crew interviews, news coverage, advertisements, photoshoots and other archival material connected to the series, drawn exclusively from April 8, 1990, through May 16, 1992.
Arranged chronologically respective to each episode’s original airdate, these interludes allow audiences to experience not just the story of Twin Peaks as it unfolds but the cultural phenomenon it became.
A songwriter, composer, film curator, Lynch archivist, and former Music Box projectionist, Daniel Knox previously programmed the Music Box’s David Lynch: A Complete Retrospective in 2017, David Lynch: A Complete Retrospective - The Return in 2022, and the ten-day David Lynch: Moving Through Time in 2025 - the most expansive presentation of Lynch’s work ever assembled in one place.
Audiences who attended those earlier events will recognize Knox’s approach: familiar works surrounded by rarely seen fragments, historical context, and unexpected discoveries. TWIN PEAKS: Moving Through Time brings that approach fully to the series, presenting Twin Peaks as both a story and a cultural phenomenon unfolding together in real time.
Each episode is preceded by its original broadcast “previously on” segment and Log Lady introductions and followed by an archival interlude segment.
Due to the chronological nature of the presentation, the intros and interludes vary in length.
All episode block start times are approximate and subject to change.
S2E1 begins with a longer introduction.
Friday, 9/18-Monday, 9/21 is available only through an all-inclusive pass. Tuesday, 9/22 will be four ticketed screenings that are not included with the pass. You must purchase tickets separately for Tuesday's screenings even if you purchased a pass.
There will be bathroom breaks throughout the screenings, announced ahead of each applicable episode.
