Programmed and Presented by SUPER-HORROR-RAMA!
May 30 & 31, SUPER-HORROR-RAMA! returns to Music Box for late-nite screenings in Theatre 2, and this time we’re exploring the outer reaches of slumberland with a pair underseen horror films about people trapped in their worst nightmares!
In Dreamscape (1984), a psychic (Dennis Quaid) joins an experiment to cure people of recurring nightmares by going inside as an active participant. One of the patients is the President of the United States (Eddie Albert) who seeks world peace as he's terrorized by visions of nuclear winter. A shady government agent (Christopher Plummer) assigns another psychic (David Patrick Kelly―"Warriors, come out to play!") to stop the President's upcoming negotiations by assassinating him in his nightmares! If you thrive on German Expressionist delirium and Ray Harryhausen-style stop-motion monsters, Dreamscape is the movie for you!
We're also screening Dream Demon (1988) on Friday, May 30 at 11:45pm!
Every ticket includes a Limited Edition Pinback Button (new design each night), and every show kicks off with Giveaways donated by The Shadowboxery, Cryptid Craft Studio, Night Natalie, Drive-In Asylum, and House of Monsters for the first folks who answer our trivia questions correctly. The category is bad dreams in cinema, so get ready!
