Royal Tenenbaum and his wife Etheline had three children and then they separated. All three children are extraordinary --- all geniuses. Virtually all memory of the brilliance of the young Tenenbaums was subsequently erased by two decades of betrayal, failure, and disaster. Most of this was generally considered to be their father's fault. "The Royal Tenenbaums" is the story of the family's sudden, unexpected reunion one recent winter.

Filmspotting Fest brings the long‑running Filmspotting podcast and WBEZ Chicago radio show into a live, communal setting —celebrating movies that reward revisiting and conversation. The event follows the success of the inaugural Filmspotting Fest last March, presented in conjunction with the show’s 20th anniversary, which featured six films across three days at the Gene Siskel Film Center and Music Box Theatre, with guest appearances by Rian Johnson (Brick) and Kogonada (Columbus).
