Director Robbie Banfitch in person for a post-film Q&A!
Robbie Banfitch is a wholly unique figure in the world of found-footage horror, creating original (and sometimes divisive) films that bring fresh perspectives on a subgenre that too often leans on the same tired tropes. Tinsman Road follows up on Banfitch’s 2022 film The Outwaters, and takes a similarly big swing; this time, however, the gambit is emotional, as the multi-hyphenate filmmaker (Banfitch wrote, edited, produced, shot, and recorded sound for the film as well as directing and starring in it) returns to his real childhood home for a horror-drama hybrid that scares viewers while also plunging them into a deep well of sadness. Bring tissues.
Music Box Theatre screens films of all genres and from every era of cinema, both new releases and repertory. These films may sometimes contain upsetting, outdated, or offensive material. While we aim to introduce many of our screenings, we do not always provide warnings about potentially triggering content within the films we screen. We encourage our patrons to research the film before they attend using trailers, reviews, or content information found on Common Sense Media, IMDb and DoesTheDogDie.com.
